A simple thrifty way of re-using candles. To remove the wax I froze the remaining Diptyque wax, leaving it in the feezer over night. In the morning use a knife to cut out the hard wax and it should lift easily out. To clean the jar and remove the wick, fill with hot water and the wax will melt and lift away. Scrub any black candle marks away with a sponge, rinse and the jars perfect to fill with fresh flowers or to hold make-up brushes or q-tips.

No, this isn’t the wake and bake style smoothie you may be expecting, i’m not sure James Duigan (http://www.bodyism.com/team-member/james-duigan/) would approve of such THC. This is however, a nutritional high in the form of kale, spinach, cucumber and apple. I favour a green smoothie over a fruit-packed one for a less potent sugar kick (snore - insert Sarah Wilson quote, I know) but they are generally better for you http://www.iquitsugar.com/ . Despite the moans how juicing can be a faff and us busy people simply can’t be arsed, I can confirm these can be created with a magic bullet (no pun intended) and very easily. Shove the greens in with chopped apple, lemon pulp and water and whizz till desired consistency. Duigan at Clean and Lean is now advocating ‘blending’ as opposed to ‘juicing’ which gives more of a bite, recommended strictly for the palettes of hardcore health junkies - but who really wants green minestrone soup at 7am? I’ve also jumped on the supplement bandwagon and at any opportunity to add protein I now chuck in flaxseeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds for omega 3 and 4 fatty acids, fibre, protein, lignans, calcium, phosphorus. Its a nutritionists pick n mix dream! But once you find your right blend there really is no better nutritional start and you are safe in the knowledge despite any damage done that day (e.g percy pigs at the desk post lunch) you have induced a huge dose of vitamins in the morning. I started following the Clean and Lean philosophy, not to just bore people to death on Instagram but to concentrate more on health and less on diet. I don’t know any girl who hasn’t embarked on a stupid, faddy, starvation diet and yes they work. But not on your health and certainly not on keeping that half a stone off. So I quit calories and took up nutrition. Also if anyone knows me, knows I adoreee beauty and beauty products so as cheesy as it sounds I started to work from within to achieve the coveted: clearer skin, longer hair, stronger nails, brighter eyes. Thinking what your putting inside your body really makes an impact on the glow from the outside. Eating 80% good, allows 20% Maccy D’s so that works for me.
